The TED sock is a light compression sock that gives a graded pressure to the leg, highest at the ankle and gradually decreasing higher up the leg. This pressure, compression, is very carefully adjusted to improve the “muscle pump” effect and help stimulate and improve blood flow in the veins of the legs to reduce the risk of blood clots.
TED Anti-embolism socks are latex-free. The material in the socks is polyamide and 15% lycra wrapped elastane threads. The TED sock is easier and more comfortable to use than elastic bands.
If you are very swollen over your ankle, please call AKLA and advise what size to order.
